A long day, a long day indeed, but it was an amazing adventure. We woke up and took a quick walk down to the Mediterranean Sea, and felt the nice cool breeze coming off of the water, the smell of the salt filling our nostrils and still the emotions of being in Israel, still haven't hit me just quite yet. We headed down to Jaffa, where Jonah came to take a boat headed out for Tarshas. Near the port we were able to see a replica of one of the winged beast of what it would look like, that David saw from Nebuchadnezzar's dream coming out of the sea. We saw buildings there in Jaffa, just like what we read about in the Old Testament, We saw a place where they believe Peter had the vision of the uncleaned meat, coming down from heaven, before he had seen Cornelius. We then headed over to where the battle of Armageddon will take place and where many battles in bible times had taken place, right in the same area. We were able to see the different layers of buildings and rocks from different time periods that had been built one on top of the other. We also saw in the middle of the stone building an ancient stone altar, where they would have burnt offerings and sacrifices to God, from that same point we were able to look out across the city, and see the Transfiguration Mountain, where Jesus took Peter, James, and John, who was the brother of James. This is where Jesus's face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as light, and where Moses and Elijah came down and were talking with Jesus. If you would read in Revelation ch 16, you will read about the battle of Armageddon, how it will take place in the last days, and we were there in that very spot, walking around, and one day we will be fighting there with Jesus. Some of you may know how Jesus talks about how it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, then it is for a rich man to get into heaven. Well we got to see what the eye of the needle would of looked like back in Jesus's day, and the only way a Camel would be able to get through it is if it went on all four of its knees, and crawled through little door that way. Which was a statement that Jesus made that a rich man would need to truly humble himself and get low to the ground, and make himself a servant in order to get to heaven, which a rich man had servants, but usually not the heart of a servant. We also got to see what a typical Roman Solider would of looked like back in the day of Jesus, along with his sword and sheath, and also the size of the cross Jesus would of carried. (Which honestly was pretty small, compared to how I originally imagined.) We also got to walk inside of an old ancient replica of a tomb back in Jesus's day, one that looked like the tomb Jesus was probably buried in. It has been one fun filled day of excitement and I still can not believe I am even here, I am so undeserving of this trip, thank you Jesus for all that you do. People please trust Him God is more real then you know, if you do not believe the Word of God come to Israel and see it for yourself, and if you can not make it here, then you must believe God's Word it is real people and Jesus loves you.
